uEye VisionPro Integration Version 4.00

Troubleshooting

The following is a list of the most common errors which may arise when using uEye cameras in conjunction with Cognex VisionPro. You can find further notes on setting and using your uEye camera in the uEye Manual.

Error description

Possible causes and error correction

Cognex Software shows errors when trying to start the camera “Error: FIFO image capture not initialized."

The uEye cameras were not assigned specific camera IDs (see Assignment of camera IDs).

An opened camera registers frequent transfer errors (“Transfer failed”).

The pixel clock setting for this camera is too high. Set a lower pixel clock value.

In the case of USB uEye cameras: Check to see if the USB cables are connected exclusively to USB 2.0 components. Connect the camera with a USB port on the back of the PC instead of using the front ports.

A GigE uEye camera cannot be activated.

The camera does not have a valid IP address. Use the IDS Camera Manager to set up a valid IP configuration.
