VisionPro integration

uEye VisionPro Integration Version 4.00

VisionPro integration

Assignment of camera IDs

To enable the initializiation of uEye cameras in Cognex VisionPro or CVL, you must assign unique IDs (identification numbers) to the cameras. The assignment of uEye camera IDs is performed in the IDS Camera Manager with the "Camera Information" function.

Hinweis

Valid IDs for use in VisionPro must fulfill the following criteria:

As VisionPro opens all connected cameras, each individual uEye camera connected requires a unique ID. Duplicate IDs lead to the failure of camera initialization.

The IDs must be assigned consecutively beginning with 1. Up to 254 camera IDs may be used.

Should VisionPro find a camera ID without a corresponding uEye camera, it creates a virtual “Dummy” version without any functions.

Example: A system comprises four uEye cameras with the IDs 1, 2, 3, and 5. In this case, cameras 1...3 and camera 5 will be initialized and a placeholder ID will be displayed for the missing ID 4.

Achtung

VisionPro can only use cameras which were already connected at software startup. Cameras which are connected after software startup will not be recognized.
